Like Everyone Else

Like Everyone Else cover

Like Everyone Else is a work of fiction produced through the Here Today Temporary Public Art project sponsored by the City of Olympia, Washington. Set in present-day Olympia, the story follows the lives of individuals, families and the community in response to crisis.

On Saturday, August 16, 2008, I read selections from the story at a public reading at Yashiro Japanese Garden in Olympia. Those who attended came away with chapbook editions of the story with letterpressed covers by the Sherwood Press of Olympia.

On this site, you can read the story or access a printable copy. On the About page, you can learn more about me, the author, as well as about the Here Today project. Please take a moment to say hello in the Comments area.

Thanks to all who came to the reading, to the many people who helped in ways large and small as I worked on this project, and to you for visiting this site.

Sincerely,

Tony Perkins
